One Month

Nate is 4 weeks old today!
To celebrate he slept for 5 hours straight last night! (4 1/2 hours the previous night). He continues to be a sweet easy baby. He has been looking around and appears to smile every now and then... I'm not convinced he's doing it on purpose, but if not, it should be soon! His cheeks are so big now, I'm not sure he could control all that extra fat! He seems to be bigger at this point than the other boys were, but I'd have to check the baby books to be certain.

The boys are really enjoying their little brother Nate. Sammy let Nate nap with his teddy bear today.

Sammy

has been so fascinated with Baby Nate. Sam has been saying "Baby Nate my brother, Baby Nate my friend." Also Sammy says as he touches every part of Nate's body...little hands, little feet, little nose, etc. It's really sweet to see how gentle and kind he's been with Nate.

Art of the day

Here are some budding artists.

Tim worked today so this was my first day to be the only caretaker at home with the boys. All in all, it went pretty well, the boys painted (a special activity for the day) and did some of their "schedule" as Zack calls their folder work. (inspiration from my friend, Stacey) We have been working on the letter A, cutting with scissors, coloring, tracing, etc.
Yes, it was after lunch before the boys were out of pj's.

Nate and I

will be celebrating (along with many moms and babies) world Breastfeeding week-- I never knew there was one, but apparently there is even a week for it's celebration!
Nate is an especially proud recipient!

We really missed our boys. The house was very quiet, no fights, so spankings, just baby duty... And painting! By the way, Zack asked me to paint his room the same color as the dining room! He approved and said it was very beautiful!

The boys had an incredible time at Grandmas. Here are some pictures of them when we met at the Pizza Hut for lunch.

home improvement project

So what do I do when my oldest boys are at Grandma's for 3 days?

The color "fresh moss" is a few shades lighter than the living room.

Zack the builder

Zack enjoys building with Lincoln Logs. He and daddy built a car and then Zack built a "place where people wait for trains" or better known as a train station.

older boys

Speaking of older boys they went to grandma's for a few days. I know they will have a blast and we are getting a little more sleep. since we can sleep through the normal wake up time. I did miss Sammy's "Mom-ma, Mom-ma, this morning.
The house seems very empty
