Zack woke up at 1:3o am crying-well screaming because his throat hurt, and he had a deep cough. So after consoling him and giving him some medicine, we went back to bed. A little while later, I was awakened with some nice contractions. I thought for a while that we would be going to the hospital soon. Unfortunately, they just kept me up for a couple of hours, they never progressed to labor-quality. Today I've been a little tired, along with Zack. We went and got some medicine for his cough/cough so maybe we can get him well before his little brother comes along.
Daddy's birthday is on Sun, maybe we could have some birthday sharing like our cousin Lily and her mom! (plus, T pledged some $ if I hit his birth date, today is Karl's birthday so I'm guessing I won't be able to collect on his wager!).
38 weeks today!
Some good news, T called me and said that the new flight commander (the one relieving him) was sitting in his office. So hopefully T can get him spun up and ready to take over Flight Commander soon. There are things that the new guy will have to do before he can take over, but it's definitely a good thing at this point. And a bit sad for T I think, it's a lot of hard work as flight commander, and he has done such a great job with his students (he was flight commander of the quarter) and it's rewarding to see the student's progress. With the new guy here it' s finally settling in that he will soon not be doing this full time-- and exciting and scary when we look forward to the next chapter.
Once the baby comes, he will start using leave -- not all at once, but working a few weeks here and there until October, when he can start flying with the Reserves. He will be doing programming while he is on leave, hopefully getting that ready to so when the end of Sept hits, he can be off and running....
Keep us in your prayers!
